Pierrot le fou est un des plus beau film d’amour qui existe. C’est difficile de l’illustrer parce que tout est là, l’amour si fort, les couleurs si denses, Anna Karina si belle, cette mer si bleue et l’été si chaud !

À la question toute inventée pour une rubrique qui n’existe pas – à ma connaissance – dans ce blog : “Quand je serai grand je serai…”, j’ai répondu petite

Marina Vandel is an illustrator and scientific artist. She has created a graphic universe that’s a little like the old curiosity shop: what makes Marina different is her very fine and extremely precise stroke, which allows her to draw fish, feathers and shellfish in minute detail and also very poetically. Her portfolio alternates between very rigid and precise scientific drawings and more playful illustrations that have a lot of humour; it was this dual talent that attracted us as it was different and offbeat. We have worked with Marina on the design of an exclusive poster based on the idea of a family tree: perfect as a very tasteful new baby gift, it will go beautifully in any child’s bedroom and will grow with them. Ancienne élève du Musée National d’Histoire Naturelle de Paris, elle apprend les techniques de représentation inhérentes au dessin scientifique et parfait au fil de ses travaux un trait fin et précis. Lorsque nous avons rencontré Marina, nous avons eu un coup de cœur pour ses tapisseries aux structures mathématiques, composées d’animaux qu’elle travaille dans les moindres détails. Elle a réalisé pour la Medium Fashion Gallery une illustration reprenant une des photos de notre campagne. Pour le blog du LFbook, nous lui avons demandé de réagir sur l’introduction de l’Acte I, Scène 2.

Marina Vandel is an illustrator and scientific artist. An alumni of the Natural History Museum in Paris, she studied the technical aspect of inherent representation to scientific design. She remains precise and vigilant creating ensuring her work is completed to a standard higher than perfect. Having met with Marina, we had an instant passion and respect for her mathematically structured tapestry consisting of simplified animals. For the Medium Fashion Gallery campaign, she has skillfully reproduced one of the photos. For our LFBook’s blog we have asked her to reinterprate the introduction of Act 1, Scene 2.
